News LOCAL RED CROSS COIN DROP ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (August 6, 2008) - The Atlantic/Cumberland Red Cross will be at Atlantic City Outlets, The Walk for a coin drop for three weekends this August. The coin drop will help the local Red Cross Chapter raise money for their annual radio-thon that benefits our local disaster victims. Red Cross Volunteers will be at The Walk on August 16th-17th, 23rd -24th and 30th and 31st. The Atlantic/Cumberland Chapter of the American Red Cross will present the 14th Annual Disaster Relief Radio-thon on Thursday, August 28, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Boscov’s at the Shore Mall, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ and at Boscov’s at Cumberland County Mall, Vineland, NJ. The Chapter will conduct a live broadcast radio-thon from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. on WENJ-AM ESPN 1450. All donations made during the Radio-thon help to fund our local disaster relief operations all year long. Every year, the Atlantic/Cumberland Chapter Disaster Relief Teams respond to over 100 household fires, providing more than 500 people with safe shelter, groceries, new clothing, prescription medications and other difficult to replace items. Your local Chapter has put vouchers totaling nearly $60,000 in the hands of disaster victims. The Chapter also assisted in community disaster events in Atlantic and Cumberland counties that required mass care for hundreds of affected individuals. In addition, the American Red Cross Atlantic/Cumberland Chapter verified and passed hundreds of Armed Forces emergency messages, enabling families in crisis to communicate with their loved ones in the military throughout the world. at the Jersey Shore” by MyFoxPhilly.com. LET'S DANCE: R & B LINE DANCING ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 1, 2008) - Let’s Dance R & B Line Dancing is coming to Atlantic City Outlets, The Walk this summer. Instructors will teach various forms of line dancing while the DJ spins the best in R & B, Motown and classic Oldies. The events attract groups from New York City, Northern New Jersey, Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Event dates are July 19, August 9, September 13 from 1-4PM. Atlantic City Outlets will sponsor the television broadcasts all summer long and welcome the group members with a tote bag, discount book and special weekly sweepstakes to win a shopping spree. Once the dancing is done, shopping will begin. In between dances, AC Outlets will host a mini-fashion show, sponsored by an AC Outlets merchant.
